Mum on Universal Credit who called people who work ‘dumb’ set to ‘lose everything’

A mum on Universal Credit has claimed that she is now about to lose “everything” after she called anyone who worked “dumb”. The 26-year-old woman, Ebony Wood, lives in a council house and has claimed that she get more than £4,000 on Universal Credit from the DWP every month.

Now, after being reported to the authorities by hundreds of people, Ebony is at risk of losing her Universal payments over a series of TikTok posts. In one video, she boasted: “You lot literally have to work 40 hours a week to get half of what I get – I literally get given £4,000 a month from the government.”
She also added: “If it wasn’t for you lot working full time and paying taxes, I would not even have these grey Tommy Hilfiger leggings.”

Now, the single mum claims the TikTok trolls have “mass reported” her to Jobcentre, BirminghamLive reported. She said: “They’re taking away all my money and I don’t know what I’m going to do,” she cried. ‘Even if I went and got a job, I’m still not going to be able to pay my bills.

”400 of you reported me and I hope you’re happy because you’ve taken everything – literally everything away from me over some stupid videos.

”Thousands of people that laughed at me crying telling me to go and get a job and that, you’re gonna love what I’m gonna say. ‘Bossman has given me a delivery job at a kebab shop.”

In reply to the video, one TikTok user said: ”You haven’t lost your income, you’ve lost your benefits! There’s a difference.”

Another said: ”judging by your videos gloating about what you get from universal credit and admitting that you play the system i’m glad you have been sanctioned.
